I disagree. For a single sport, the 8 straight Celtics Championships was the greatest 10 year run of any sports team in history. However, this is about ALL of Boston Sports.
In the '60, the only good sports Franchise was the Celtics. The Sox were awful every year but '67 (still lost the WS). The Patriots just joined the league and weren't very good. The Bruins were terrible until the very end of the decade (winning the Cup in '69). Between all the sports, we had 19 losing seasons (sub-.500 teams).
This decade has seen ever major sports franchise succeed. The Red Sox made the playoffs 6 times and won 2 championships. The Celtics had a decent start to the decade, had trouble in the middle, but have finished strong (1 championship, a 2nd maybe if KG wasn't injured). The Bruins have been competitive, making the playoffs 5 times. The Patriots became the first dynasty in cap-era NFL. 6 Championships between 3 sports. There were only 7 losing seasons in Boston Sports this decade.

This is the year. We put our failures in the past, it's a new year, a new defense. It's time to prove to the league that the Patriots are back and aren't going anywhere and they will be the last ones standing in Feb.
Update: Well that didn't work out as I had planned. Next year baby, next year 19-0 we go. Next year.
