Default Reese and Licht mentioned as possible Seahawks GM candidates

Ten candidates emerge for Seahawks G.M. gig | ProFootballTalk.com

Quote:
...

As best we can piece together, there are at least 10 candidates for the job: Cardinals director of player personnel Steve Keim, Chargers director of player personnel Jimmy Raye, Eagles G.M. Tom Heckert, Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta, Packers director of football operations John Schneider, Patriots senior football adviser Floyd Reese, Patriots pro personnel director Jason Licht, and 49ers director of player personnel Trent Baalke.

...
Licht was the Patriots' Assistant Director of Player Personnel in 2002, held the same position with the Eagles from 2003-2005 and was the Eagles' Vice President of Player Personnel from 2006-2007. He was fired in May 2008 and spent last season with the Arizona Cardinals as a Personnel Executive before returning to the Patriots this season as their Director of Pro Personnel.

Currently the Patriots' personnel/scouting department is structured like this:

Director of Player Personnel - Nick Caserio
Senior Football Advisor - Floyd Reese
Director of College Scouting - Jon Robinson
Director of Pro Personnel - Jason Licht
Assistant Director of Pro Personnel - Bob Quinn
National Scout - Monti Ossenfort
Area Scouts - DuJuan Daniels, Tim Heffelfinger, Frantzy Jourdain, Kyle O'Brien, Patrick Stewart
Pro Scouts - Brian Smith, Frank Edgerly
Scouting Consultant - Larry Cook
Scouting Assistant - James Liipfert

As a matter of comparison, here is what the department looked like last season:

Vice President of Player Personnel - Scott Pioli
Director of Player Personnel - Nick Caserio
Assistant Director of College Scouting - Jon Robinson
College Scouting Coordinator - Jay Muraco
National Scout - Bob Quinn
Area Scouts - Marvin Allen, DuJuan Daniels, Tim Heffelfinger, Frantzy Jourdain, Jim Nagy, Kyle O'Brien, Monti Ossenfort, Adam Peters
Pro Scout - Brian Smith
Special Assignment Scout - Kevin Bickers
Scouting Consultant - Larry Cook
Scouting Assistants - Patrick Stewart, Michael Disner, Brian Ferentz

Peters is now with the Broncos. Allen is now with the Falcons. Nagy and Muraco followed Pioli to the Chiefs. Disner and Bickers aren't with the team anymore.

it has been so incredibly hard for the Pats to keep this together when they are constantly losing people.

Reese might be the logical one to move on for the right opportunity.
