Default I for one am thankful that the Patriots aren't in the Super Bowl.

You can put down your troll beating sticks. We are scheduled to have our second son tomorrow at 12:30 central time. I'm pretty happy that the Patriots aren't in the super bowl as I probably won't be watching a whole lot of it.

Congats on your new addition. Hope everything goes well.

However, it's not all about you. You can have your family addition and the Patriots could have stilled played in the SB for the rest of us.

So let me get this straight...you'd prefer the Patriots NOT win the Super Bowl you can't watch, rather than the Patriots win the Super Bowl you can't watch? I don't believe that.

Congratulations on the child.

Well congrats on the new one (our son was born last july--our 2nd child). Everyone has their own opinion of course......but if that was me i would still want the pats in the superbowl. Even if i could not watch the game becuase of my wife giving birth,, i would still pray for them and pray for a win. Besides, imagine telling your son that he was born (possibly) on teh day that history was made in the NFL!!!!

By the way--I thought you were a jets fan?

Yeah, I could have phrased that differently. I do still wish the Patrtiots were in the Super Bowl but it would be really tough knowing that they were playing and I couldn't kick back and enjoy the game.

LOL!! No, I'm not a Jets fan, I just tend to have a little different outlook on the team that alot of the posters here don't agree with.
