Well, its a good thing since they were basically going to keep Heimerdinger hostage originally. They told him they weren't going to let him out of his contract.

I think its a good PR move for the Jets, but its a bad move otherwise. Especially since they snubbed Heimerdinger for the HC job.

I just hope that Heimerdinger doesn't go to the Raiders.

Yeah I think he will go to the Broncos with Shanahan. I would feel sorry for any coach going to Raiders from what I hear to much meddling from top brass.

Dinger wants to go coach in Denver with his college roommate Shannahan.

Jets woes continue
KFFl reports
-------------------------------------------------
Jets | Marrone wants out
Wed, 25 Jan 2006 11:48:38 -0800

Dave Hutchinson, of the New Jersey Star-Ledger, reports New York Jets offensive line coach Doug Marrone has been refused to let out of his contract, according to two sources with knowledge of the situation. One source said the Jets did not want to let an assistant go until a replacement was found.
--------------------------------------------

Also the OC JETs were looking at former Rams OC Fairchild, has signed
by Bills according to a report.

This something I though Mangini would have problems with .... getting
quality coaches to work with him.

Signs so far seem to indicate Eric has a long road ahead.

Mike Tice is still available, right? That would be a dream come true if they would to stick Mangini with Tice as OC (especially since they swiped his Jests rebuilding plans) and it would pave the way for a (dare I dream) promotion to HC once they're done with Mangini the Sacrifical Lamb.
