Remember, AD made a few good plays because he understood what he was supposed to do on the field.
I believe him when he says he's putting non-trivial effort into preparing.
Whether he's preparing hard enough is another matter.

The dude acted poorly but he has value to this team on the field. Don't start the guy, fine!
But to cut him or shut him down is just plain silly given the demanding nature of the position and our history of injuries. The dude can still play some (not to the level of his contract as we have seen for more than a year now) and he can still be serviceable.
He needs to show up on time, keep his mouth shut and do what's expected of him, like any employee in the work force.
Do whatever is best for the team. If AD's willing to shut up, put in the work, give a real effort, and be part of the team, then by all means use him. If he's a disruptive influence, a me-first guy, and a slacker, then bench his sorry ass.
After the season's another question altogether.

I take this as being completely stubborn and defiant.
I think he was defiant about being asked the same thing so many times by a reporter. Honestly, there's not much to read into in today's comments. He's saying the right things. My guess is his performance on the practice field will now be the sole deciding factor in whether he plays on Sunday. No matter what, though, I think he's gone at the end of the season.

Amen. Basically, I'd put him on a zero-tolerance policy. One snide comment, and he's gone from meetings, sent home from practice, etc.

I hear you, Pujo. It's entirely possible that my radar is up on this guy and I'm looking for additional insights into where his head it at with regard to his commitment to the team.

He should've been saying that on Wednesday, not Monday after being benched.
If that were his tone after the incident, he would've been playing on Sunday instead of watching from home. Instead he decided he needed attention and starting running his mouth off. We just won with out him. I could understand playing him again if he were actually playing well, but he hasn't played well all year. We don't need him.

True but the other variable here is what did he do to prepare for the game on Sunday. Granted he seems to be in a deeper hole than Guyton, Burgess and Moss but those guys played. I think with AD and BB, its beyond saying nice things.
