No doubt in my mind, he still hates the Pats. Every chance he gets a chance to take a shot at us he does. This year he consistently talks about how this defense lost too much talent and the Pats aren't the elite team people think they are. Key is my favorite guy on ESPN. He's a big fan of BB and the Pats. I wish he was still young enough to play b/c I'd love to have a guy with his talent who buys into BB's philosophy and system.
We as fans need to stop caring what the talking heads at ESPN think of our team. Its not going to make the team play any better or any worse. Just watch our pats play every week and enjoy.

Is he wrong? i would say the Defense has lost alot since those championship years a few years back, especially our pass rush. And we are not an elite team, judging from what ive seen on the field this year. We break alot more than we bend on D, were not a defense that creates alot of turnovers, our offense is painfully predictable at times. We still have BB,Brady and a cast of others so we have a shot if we can get into the playoffs but face it we are not the elite team we were 2 yrs ago.

I didn't say he was wrong. I agree we aren't the elite team we were in 2007, but I think the only 2 big losses we've had are Seymour and Asante. Vrabel, Bruschi, and Rodney were all near the end last year. I just hate how everytime the Pats are brought up TJ always reverts back to the same series of statements. The defense definitely is going to endure some growing pains and we need to solve the pass rush problem. Brady has not played that well lately and that has hurt the offense, but so has the predictable playcalling. I knew exactly what was coming on 4th and 1 to Morris. I think we really miss McDaniels and his creativity/gameplanning on offense.

Agreed that the losses of vrabel bruschi and rodney werent big, the problem is that we didnt bring guys in that would give us a good pass rush. HUGE misses in free agency and the draft with Adalius and Shawn Crable.
This is why we need to stop paying attention to the ESPN crew. We have to realize that they dont follow the team as closely as we do so when they see the problems with this years D, they will assume that its related to the guys who are no longer on the team, when the real problem was not having guys ready to step in and assume those roles.

Outsiders sometime see what insiders miss. That's especially true when the insiders are the type that don't want to deal with negative news.

Agreed, I love Keyshawn. He's the only analyst (Carter is decent sometimes) worth listening to on that show. Berman, Ditka, whomever - I can't stand any of them. Tom Jackson is a complete moron. As someone in this thread said, it's rare I watch ESPN anyway, but Key is worth listening too.

We could easily be 11-2 or 12-1 vs 8-5. The key here is that those records have ZERO bearing on the next three weeks and January.
2004 Pats lose by 1 point to Miami in a debacle
2005 Steelers are dead at 7-5, win 4 games/SB
2006 Dolts lose 3 of 4 and are getting run over. Most "experts" expect KC to run over them
2007 Giants lose 41-17 to Vikings in Dec "experts" consider them non factor
2008 Steelers blown out by Titans and get laughed at in Nashville.
Don't have a crystal ball but I do know we absolutely dominated the Dolts for 58 minutes.
