I believe he said he watched film when ordered home, not that he watched film and then left for work. He also claimed he kicked back on his day off, I assume while watching film.
When you were living in New England, didn't you check weather reports? I know I did. It has been known to snow in those parts, and snow has been known to add time to the commute. And I suspect, unlike us, he is paid roughly $500k a week during the season to report as directed over a 6-month period. As such, if there is even the possibility of your 2 hour delay, leave two hours earlier. To claim the snow "surprised you" after living in MA for a few years is fairly disingenuous. As would be calling while mired in traffic two days after being told to get to work early when 50 others manage to get to work as required.
Right now, the only actual support for the "bad apple" role is his public commentary, which reflects little accountability and direct shots at the organization. While I tend not to agree with the spin put on sparse facts by the media, his ridiculous statements are causing me to give credence to the media opinion in this case.

Maybe he was listening to the radio that morning to the no school announcements and was hoping that right after "Oxford" and "Palmer" and right before "Peabody" and "Pelham" the newsreader would sneak in "Patriots".

Because we don't know the REAL reason for those 4 guys being sent home, its hard for anyone to really speculate as to what the issue was.
What we do know is that Thomas will probably be gone at the end of the season, either by asking for his release or the Patriots showing him the door before he can ask.
Reports are that BB talked about everyone on the team from coaches to players renewing their commitment and putting in the extra work so they can finish the season strong and win the division, this was on Monday. Then on Wednesday after that four guys are late?! That's a slap in the face of not only BB but to the rest of their teammates and coaches. It wasn't the blizzard of 1978, it was some snow. It was all over the news, plan ahead and make it to work on time. The players being late in unacceptable and to make matters worse this guy is making excuses. I didn't see any of the other 3 holding court. AD doesn't get it, seems like Ray Lewis was right about this guy.

Tanguay says reporters who were in the Patriot room yesterday when AD was giving his presser report how the whole thing was embarrassing. If you will recall Springs walked by and said a mocking "sorry" comment which Thomas replied "sorry Shawn".
Both these guys need to be sent packing if BB is going to save this team.
Thanks, for that. Yeah, there is a cancerous tumor that is affecting the surrounding area.
Interestingly, these two overpaid non-performers are eating a chunk out of the cap.

Precisely. While working up what he was going to say in his media session the next day.
I'll give him props for The Jetsons reference. If you had to wager on what his comments might be, picking that particular reference would pay off huge. That has to be up there with H.R. Pufnstuf for obscure references.

That's a good one.
My place of business does not cancel work unless Mass declares a State of Emergency. Then, and only then do they cancel work.
