The Pats should beat the panthers like a drum. Quite honestly, Jake Delhomme is not a very good QB anymore. And the Panthers have not been that impressive this year. If the Pats can beat the Panthers and Bills soundly in the upcoming weeks, that should help build up some confidence and maybe speak well of their chances in the playoffs. But you need to WIN the games that you should WIN. These two upcoming games are two of those.

Amen brother! It's these "rough" patches, wow I can't believe I'm calling a winning record and being in first place in the division a rough patch, that makes the great times that much more rewarding. COME ON GUYS!

Honestly, anyone who doesn't care about the game isn't a real fan of the Patriots. I don't care if they don't look like they can win the Super Bowl right now. A real fan would support the team even if they don't appear to be a Super Bowl favorite. They can still win the division and get into the playoffs and this game against Carolina is big.

(and yes I do realize that a lot of you are being sarcastic. I'm just addressing people I've seen on here that are actually giving up on the team.)

So this is what it looks like when the sky is falling in NE, lol.

It has been an ugly year to be a panthers fan. A QB who can't stop throwing touchdowns for the other team. A playcaller that has gotten even more conservative, if that's possible. A fanbase clamoring for bill cowher while wanting to dump the winningest coach in our franchise only a year removed from going 12-4.

Sucks guys. Enjoy having a winning team while you have one, because things can change quickly in the NFL, no matter how good you are.

I understand the frustration given the way the team has played this year, but to not watch the game? How about you donate any of your Pats gear to someone who would appreciate it and jump on another team's bandwagon...

This offseason, it's almost like Belichick is saying, "I'm never going to let that happen again."

The trouble is that winning this game will build maybe 1% confidence in this team. Unless it's an absolute truncheoning. Please, let it be so...

I hate to admit this but my daughter bought tix for everyone to go see the 'Nutcracker' in Boston as it's my wife's birthday, so I will be watching ballet.

Where do I go to return my man card?

Jake Delhomme is not even a remotely functional QB at this stage in his career. He is the reason they are 5-7.

Jake Delhomme will not be on the field however to assist the Patriots as he has other teams this year.

Carolina however can play up and compete with just about anyone though on good days....and they even did that despite Jake much of this season. Carolina destroyed AZ. Carolina was also able to take it to the Saints for the majority of the game and was up......they also had the ball w/ under two minutes down by 3. Those are really the only pass heavy teams they have faced this year.....

Carolina should lose. They also have enough playmakers to compete especially with Jake off the field. Matt Moore is 3-1 in Carolina and brings to the table basically what the "old Jake" use to.

If NE doesn't get up early I don't think it is realistic to assume NE can contain the Carolina running game. I think Carolina will lose....but they will give the Patriots a much tougher game than the fanbase is probably expecting.
