Fixed that for ya. Not trying to rub it in but that is the fact. I hate games that come down to referee's calls but it tends to happen alot in the NFL in big games like these. I do not always agree with the referee's decisions but as Bill B says, "it is what it is."

You would know better than most how often it happens, too.

Actually he threw a pass that resulted in a 3 yard reception that was marked as a 1 yard completion because the ref was screened and made a subjective decision on the extent to which the receiver bobbled that could not be altered because replay was not an option. The better decision would have been to mark forward progression where the receiver's feet came down with possession, which is the rule, assuming the ball was secured since it certainly was when the play ended on the ground and allow the Colts, who had a TO remaining to challenge the spot as they would have since that would have been the best use of a TO they get back if they prevail.

But that would be too much to ask in a league where the officials can't even keep track of TO's. and what is challengable...

Sorry, my post was in response to a comment about Brady not making an All-Pro play. Brady completed a pass beyond the 1st down line. That is the fact. Everything beyond that point had nothing to do with Brady's abilities.

Can we please forget the previous game and steer the discussion back to Mayo and the OP???

Mayo - you da man! Please show us and the media what you and your unit can do.

But please...don't go too far like shutting down the Jets. That will add rocket fuel to the raging debate that BB should have put you guys back on the field last Sunday.

PLZZ. Stop saying BB trusted the defense to stop them on the 30 because what Manning had just done to the D and the scoreboard suggested otherwise.

the D realy has no reason to be pissed they could not stop payton so BB went for it on 4th to end the game

and mayo was right for telling teddy your not the leader of this D any more i am how can you tell me what i am felling ?

now as far as him saying we will go out and show how we play they may go out and stop the jets and there #1 running game cold but running the football dose not put up a lot of point's and the jets are one of the worst passing team's in the NFL so the pats will hold them under 20

and when they play the saints they will give up 35 again they are not a top 5 defense that will get it done every week they will have some good game's and some bad game's

they are a young defense full of new face's that are still learning how to win and should not and will not get mad at any call that BB one of the greatest coach's in NFL history make's

half the starter's on this D have not even played in a super bowl and if teddy dont understand that then he is living in the past

Punting would have swaped the advantage. Let's put the Colts Best player on the field, and take ours off...
Sorry, but I wouldn't put this on Brady. He delivered a catchable ball. Faulk catches it cleanly and we win the game. I'm not putting this on Faulk, though. He had a defensive player all over him and still came down with the ball. The Patriots just got an unfortunale spot.

So let me get this straight, BB had no confidence in PATS stopping Colts for 70 yds But he took a shot with Clutchest player of all time knowing if it fails those 70 yds are now 28. I'm no mathematical genius but If thats not saying well then I have faith in my team stopping them for 28 yds I dunno what then.

Which only highlights why the team has moved on and week 10 is done.

It seems that people forget that a certain 2007 week 17 game ended in a loss for a team that was up by 12-13 points. A few weeks later, the rematch ended a lil better for them.

The Pats were clearly the dominant team and have infinately more upside than Indy.

Why anyone is distraught is beyond me and will have zero bearing if we go into Indy in January. (This assumes Indy can last long enough to host us in January)

If there is a rematch, I think the way this game ended will work to the Pats' advantage. The Colts may wish they had lost the first game, and not provided major motivation for the Pats in a rematch, if it gets that far.
