Is there someone out there on waivers that we should pick up?
I used to view Maroney as inexpensive, taking up snaps so that others could rest. He is a ballerina, with some explosion. But goes down on first contact. (unless there is a pile that gets pushed). A near total bust of a 1st rounder.
But that fumble cost us the game. Come on.

You are dead wrong, and very obviously do not understand the game at all.
Looking back you can say he cost us the game but so did others..
We could do better at that position but I think we have to wait till the 2011 draft to address that.
BB cost us the game when it mattered most.

Why do I bother...
No, no we don't. But since this one is already at the top, I'll repost my response from the other Blame Maroney thread.

On the whole, the offense, including Maroney, did their jobs IMO. Ideally, even at 31-14, I wanted at least another 3 points before Indy got a chance to score again. This is PM the D was up against, after all. Didn't happen and there it is. But anyway, pin the loss on Maroney? Sorry, no can do.

Hey,
wait KoolAid lovers, there is new information! Maroney fumbled on the .5 yard line.
we now know that he is WORSE than we thought on saturday !
i for one have NO IDEA why he is still on this team.
again, apologies....i need to vent. that was just hideous.
How many fumbles in his career? What's his fumble rate? What's the league average fumble rate? Did the offense still score 34 points? Does every RB on the pats roster fumble at a higher rate than Maroney? You having NO IDEA why he is on this team, says more about YOU than Maroney.
will not miss you maroney please leave now. NO more defending this bust he is an absolute BUST!!!! but the blocking is bad, he doesn't get enough snaps, he's been injured... just stop no more defending him he is the alex smith of the patriots.
