BB's mold also requires veterans to have a desire to win the big game. After Edge talked smack about Arizona and his contract situation, while they were on their SB run, why would BB even think of signing him? Plus, he reeks of Colt.

It would only take 15 minutes to find a better back than James. Are you guys serious?

I think BB would be fine as long as 3 RBs are healthy. Edge is not an upgrade over any of our RBs at this point.

What he has proven, is that no team would offer him much more than vet minimum. It wasn't really his choice.

As usual, the Pats will mix and match their running backs for another 3-4 weeks and then Morris and Taylor will come back healthy and raring to go to add depth to the running game.

And then Taylor will get hurt again as is his M.O.

I hope not though as I have always liked Fred Taylor even though he was a Jag<- blech

Second, Edgerrin James just got released by Seattle. Might he be a good fit here?

Belichick had a chance to grab James before ... he has nothing left.

There are guys who won't... and there are guys that can't (find a spot on a roster for the vet minimum).

Which type is Edge'run these days?

Am I reading into your comments a bit too much, or are you implying that Belichick looks for the cheap player, but not the best player and just gets the player to fill his role "good enough"?
