Default Noisy Jets gone, Pats next for Miami Dolphins

Noisy Jets gone, Pats next for Miami Dolphins - Miami Dolphins - MiamiHerald.com

some great lines

Quote:
Ryan, evidently in the buffet line for seconds when God was handing out grace, said after Miami's 30-25 victory Sunday that his losing team had ``totally outplayed'' the Dolphins. (Rex takes the ``cl'' out of ``class.'')
Quote:
Dear Sore-Loser Jets: You didn't ``deserve'' to win Sunday, because the final arbiter said you didn't. It is called a scoreboard.

In contrast to the whiny Jets left behind, Sparano and staff prepare this week for an opponent and an opposing coach who have earned their respect by accomplishment. The Patriots' swagger is borne of actions. The Jets' swagger is all empty noise, like a teacup poodle trying to bark ferociously. (The New York Pets.)

I can see if we lost in the same manner BB saying something like "obviously were dissapointed, any time you lose like this it means we didn't prepare well enough" "you just have to tip your hate to them (Miami) they played better in all phases of the game, they were better prepared than we were"
EL Gordo (fat man ) Rexy and the rest of the jests "sh!t in their own nest" as my mother would say.

The jests have put day glow bulls eye on their backs by so thoroughly dissrespecting their opponents.

I used to hate the Pats with a greater passion than the Jets. But what that team has become after their fans garned some unwarranted arrogance with Favre to now become the trash talking, mediocre thug bunch of the NFL, sweeping them is so incredibly gratifying.

The Patriots have at least won something. The Jets haven't won anything.

That said, this Sunday's game is HUGE in terms of division implifications. A Dolphins win and we're right there in the driver's seat.

AQ how are you.... i don't know about the fins being in the drivers seat but at least we don't have to deal with trash talking slime until next week.

hmmmm....

if u guys win this game next week, it would be really uplifting for the phins, and a real downer for the pats....

u would be 4-0 in the division, quite spectacular

but not in the driver's seat.....ppl like to forget, but conf and div records only count in tiebrakers, and i do not see the phins at the end of the year being tied in OVERALL record w/ the pats.....

Anybody out here who is looking ahead to Indy and has Sunday's game in the "W" column before it's played is delusional. It's going to take 60 minutes of football to get this win.

Getting a tiebreaker advantage is just like getting a game advantage in the win column. If all we have to do is tie you, it's just one less game we have to win to get to the post-season.

Not to mention that if you can hang losses on your divisional opponents, it only helps you make up ground at twice the rate. Division games are make or break in this league.

You're still not in the driver's seat.

The Patriots are in the drivers seat. However, the road to the division title goes through Miami. Championships always go through whoever is defending it during the season, until the next division winner is crowned.

Hoping for a great, fun game to watch, and hoping the Dolphins have a good game against the Patriots regardless of W/L-these two teams usually have good games.
Fins fans-Is it just me or has playing the Loudmouth Jets twice in the last 20 days put all your hate into them again? I don't have it for the Pats this week-prob for the SNF game though.

A Dolphins win and the Dolphins are still a game behind in the standings, tied at 4-4 with the Jets but in second place because of the head-to-head matchups. No matter how this weekend's game ends up, the Patriots will still be in the AFCE driver's seat.
