Default Clayton: Pats "frantically" calling around for third receiver

A caller just said on PFW in Progress that John Clayton was on ESPN Dallas within the last half hour and said the Pats have been "frantically calling" teams for a third receiver.

Seriously amusing mental image. I can't imagine Clayton being over-the-top though...

Interesting. Maybe they should have just kept Gallaway.

Good ol Clayton. I'm going to go ahead and call bull***** on at least the word "frantic". I'd love to get a guy like Branch - but between Aiken, Edelman, Tate, our TEs and our RBs, we have enough pass weapons left to fill that #3 spot. Frantic implies a level of desperation that likely isn't there.

Yeah, right. They're so "frantic" they let Galloway walk.

Egghead Junior needs to shut up.

"Frantically" assumes desperation, if the Pats were desperate for any 3rd WR then Galloway would not have been cut.

If somebody like Dwayne Bowe was available for reasonable compensation and providing he could fit in the cap then im sure the Caserio and BB would be interested, but i don't think that means "frantically".
