This is a point that no talking head has made, but it is the key point, IMO. There is simply no such thing as running up the score in professional sports. In your professional life, you show no mercy to your opponents. "Running up the score" as a concept is meant to preserve the fragile egos of children. Maybe some coaches don't run up the score as a professional courtesy to their fellow coaches, so they aren't embarassed in front of their fanbase and owner, but BB cares not, as he should not. Does the lawyer refrain from pointing out the mistake of another lawyer in the courtroom? Does a business refrain from pointing out the defects in its competitor's products? Of course not. On one level professional sports is "just a game", on another, more realistic level, it is big, serious business, and trite concepts like "running up the score" have no place in it.

Default Tony Dungy supported Belichick's gameplan after the game on NBC's Football Night

Former Colts coach Tony Dungy supported Belichick's gameplan after the game on NBC's Football Night in America.
"I don't think he was running up the score," Dungy said. "If you're Tennessee, you've got to stop them."

Yay, does that mean God loves the Pats again?

Wait the worlds most beloved coach agrees with something the most evil coach did. Its a good thing everyone knows the world ends in 2012 or we'd all be shcoked by this sign of the apoylpse
