Default Season start not what Patriots expected

Wow to the comments about Light who is not as bad as this guys comments would indicate which was apparently in anger while writing it,I don't know if Vollmer is a full time LT to take over Light's position even when he returns but he did look impressive,If Vollmer continues to look good maybe Light will have a fight to get his job back but I think it's going to be Light's job to lose when he returns in a few weeks.

I read the article you posted. The writer believes that the OL has been doing just fine. And yes, he made the joking comments about Light. He believes that the entire problem is Brady's rust and the team will be much better as Brady gets more in sych with the offense.

It's the offense stalling in the red zone that has killed the Pats in almost every game this season. Brady needs to get it together and the play calling needs to get it together. Almost every time it's a 1st and goal this season, the Pats have gone into shotgun and try to throw it in 3 straight times. The offensive play calling has been absolutely hideous this season.

well, the only thing that wasnt expected was the fact the rust that is on Brady and the offense.

when we saw matt cassel take the team to a 11-5 record we assumed that when brady gets back this offense will continue to roll, but it hasnt. So right now Brady is playing like cassel last year.

I do not understand why folks did not expect Brady to need time to come back from his injury.

The facts about Manning in 2008 and Brady in 2009 should have people more understand about injuries to the knee and being an NFL QB and how long it takes.

Carson Palmer who is having one hell of a good season thus far was very vocal about what he expected from Brady as to start slowly on the road to recovery like he was when his knee cap was busted and he was damn right,it is taking Brady time to recover and also time to get his head on straight about being afraid with players around his knees.

I agree that he doesn't like Light long-term. As most of us, I think that he is looking forward to someone upgrading Light. He is a strong supporter of Vollmer. In any case, I was referring to the following part of the article.

"All kidding aside, the O-Line has been sufficient, it's Brady who's been off. Understandably so, I mean the man only missed an entire season after knee surgery. Peyton Manning got off to a similarly slow start after minor knee surgery before winning the NFL MVP award, how can Brady be expected to return without missing a beat?"

The Pats had 100% red zone efficiency against the Broncos. The problem isn't the red zone offense, lately
Broncos: 2 trips, 2 touchdowns
Ravens: 5 trips, 3 touchdowns, 2 FGs
Falcons: 5 trips, 1 touchdown, 4 FGs. << It did suck in this game, but we won anyways, so it's hard to say that it's 'killing' us
Jets: 3 trips, 3 FG << sucked, and was one of many factors that cost us the game.
Bills: 5 trips, 3 touchdowns, 2 FGs

So yeah, there was a 2 game stretch where the red-zone offense was pretty bad, and for hte last 2 games (and the first game) it's been good. Far from the disaster that you're claiming it to be... unless you're one of those people that thinks that every single red zone trip must result in a touchdown, end of story.
