Brady's answer to Rodney's remark on Dennis & Callahan on WEEI this morning went something like this... Well, Rodney led the league in personal fouls'. Now the perpetually offended thin skinned' readers will take that as a fued, but Brady also commented that he and Rodney were like brothers. He then went on to say that densive players have their views but QBs have to stand there unprotected. Said Suggs barely touched him but refs need to call the rule and not impute intyent.

EDIT: Something's WRONG on Ian's Wayback machine as my posts instead of appearing last get back dated and posted 'earlier'

Oh come on, who could not tell that was a joke? People are way too uptight.

As long as Rodney and Brady have an understanding about what really happened, that's all that really matters! Brady even was laughed about it on WEE this morning also, and said there is nothing that Rodney could ever say that could ever bother him.

It's not the joke itself that got people mad. It's the fact that Rodney said it was a bad call. Not only do I disagree with him, I think he was piling on as every commentator was taking the Ravens side and not one said it was the correct call. If Harrison is going to throw his opinions around, as is his right, we also have the right to call him on it if we disagree.

This morning Skip Bayless said that Ray Lewis should take off the skirt. Strange times when I agree with Bayless more than Rodney.

Oh, I know why they are doing it. I just hope that they turn that rule around when Brady retires.

Eh, even if he wasn't joking, what he said should be taken in stride. He does have a point about the QBs being way too overprotected. It was almost hilarious to watch some of the very same people who defended him before by saying, "It's about time we have someone in the media who calls it like it is!" turn on him like a pack of rabid wolves when he said something (albeit in jest) remotely bad about the Pats.

Rodney has always been supportive of the Pats, and has shown his sense of humor over the years, so I am amazed anybody has needs clarification on this. The guy who has often complained of "disrespect" to the Pats now has to explain he is joking when he makes a comment directed at the Pats? Get a grip.

And thank you Ian for stepping on this issue quickly. Good grief.
