The CBA provides for room and board (article 38)during training and if they are on team business, I hope the Browns followed the letter of the law re per diems (article 39- see below) because if I'm the union rep, I'm scrutinizing everything now..

Section 2. Room and Board: All players will receive room and board during the pre-season training camp, and
housing between training camp and the Tuesday prior to their Club’s first regular season game for those players
who have not=2 0as yet established residence in the Team city.[

MEAL ALLOWANCE
Section 1. Reimbursement: A player will be reimbursed for meals not furnished by his Club on travel days
during the preseason, regular season and postseason as follows: 2006-07 League Years-Breakfast $17.00,
Lunch $25.00, Dinner $43.00; 2008-10 League Years and the 2011 League Year if it is an Uncapped Year -
Breakfast $18.00, Lunch $27.00, Dinner $45.00; and 2011 League Year if it is a Capped Year and 2012 League
Year - Breakfast $19.00, Lunch $29.0 0, Dinner $47.00. For purposes of this Article, commercial airline meals
or the equivalent shall not be considered as furnished by the Club.
