You're right, that fight went from 0 to 100 in like 5 seconds. I have to think that if security was around that BBF (big Bills fan) wouldn't have charged up the stairs.

I don't understand what an elderly banned poster could have done to prevent this situation, though.

Unless things have changed since I've stopped going to games, the Gillette Stadium security crew basically consists of 17 year old group volunteers, no?

Plenty of good seats available in Buffalo nowadays. Those Bills fans don't really need to come down to Foxboro by the thousands like they used to in Jim Kelly days. Maybe they should let the Pats and their fans enjoy some success for a while like they had without the 2-year old kids and drunken smack talking.

No, those are the guys in the parking lots who are supposed to stop brawls by drunks driving big SUVs and trying to edge eachother out for 4 hours (sad, but true). I've noticed a lot of the security in the stadium (and I am in the middle deck, not the upper) is retired policemen.

Well they were in throw-back unis. I'd say your section got the complete Sullivan stadium experience.

Given what used to pass for beer, a spilled drink is probably close enough.

I read about it. Congratulations and commiserations on your 24+ hours awake. You'll be a while recovering from it.
