Default NESN article on LawFirm

Nice little write-up on one of the forums more controversial subjects: BJGE. His closing statements sound like the words off some Brady-made cue-cards.

Green-Ellis Adds Spark To Patriots Backfield - New England Patriots - NESN.com

Excerpt:

Quote:
When you see a guy perform the way he did the last preseason game, it was awesome,” Faulk said. “It was great to see, especially for him.”

Green-Ellis’s biggest run against the Giants came on a fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line in the fourth quarter. Just after he received the handoff, he shot toward a hole on the right side, broke a tackle and carried linebacker Clint Sintim on his back on the way into the end zone to give the Patriots a 31-27 lead.
I guess someone should tell Faulk the pre-season doesn't mean Jack.

This guy is the Anti-Maroney: runs hard, popular with teammates, UDFA.

I give Maroney 5 weeks until he's on IR.

There are plenty of people here who will be happy to tell Faulk he clearly knows nothing about the NFL and what it takes to be a succesful running back.

I'm shocked it only took four posts before someone took the opportunity to bash Maroney.

How do you know Maroney doesn't run hard? Where is your evidence for this?

How do you know Maroney isn't popular with teammates? Likewise, where is your evidence for this?

I agree part of your post. He was a UDFA.

I don't get the rest.

"We love running backs that don’t let just one guy take him down because there is always going to be someone that’s not blocked,” Patriots left guard Logan Mankins said. “A running back that runs through the first guy and makes multiple guys take him down, that’s fun to block for.”
I'm probably reading to much into this comment from Mankins but for some reason it made me LOL.

People see Maroney stutter-step and call that not running hard -- to me, he is just trying to do too much. Law Firm takes 2 yards when that is all there is... Maroney at times tries to make 10 and loses 1.
