Default Is Seymour a lock for the Patriots HOF?

I think he stands a very good chance at being in the Pats HOF but not a lock and not Canton unless he makes the Raiders a super power.

Regardless of the trade, from 2001-2008 he had been an outstanding contributor to the organization and a marquee player on a 3-time SB champion.

I voted No. At least half of his Pro bowl appearances were based strictly on reputation.

Devil's advocate : won't that same reputation help when it's time for voting ?

I screwed up my pick. The title of this thread and the actual poll question are different. I don't think Seymour is a lock to make the HOF, but I think he will probably make the HOF.

Same. I answered the title, not the poll.

Coaches revolved game plans around him. We don't see the stats because that wasn't his role. He should be in our HOF at first eligibility. As far as Canton ... well if he had been a 1-gap tackle yeah ... but he wasn't a 1-gap tackle so who knows. He was among the best in his generation but he wasn't the best ... tough call .... he'll be there on the vote every year but there's been so many great players in the last 10 years who were more dominant and were featured by their teams.

Arguably the best DL in the history of the team.

Yeah, he's going into the Pats HOF.

He has a good chance making it to Canton one day if he can string some injury free high level seasons in the next few years.

Ehh! I accidentally voted "no" but meant to vote "yes". He'll be in the Pats HOF when it is all said and done. I don't think he will be in Canton unless something drastic happens with the Faiders, but he's a lock for the Pats HOF.
