Anyone know if he is gonna make his usual Patriots Monday appearence on WEEI?

I'm pretty sure it’s a contractual obligation of the current Coach/QB to attend the designated time slots.

It's a deal with the Patriots and WEEI, not Bill or Tom individually.

Chris can comment if he wants to - But that's my understanding.

Dear Big Show Andy,

Will your sole participation in this forum be to advertise upcoming WEEI shows and events? If so, can you explain why this isn't an improper commercial use of the forum?

I won't if you don't want me to; didn't plan on starting any threads or anything. Joined up a few months back to post the time of our (last minute) off-season Bill interview but the account wasn't verified in time to make that post, but got a nice welcome note from Ian so I figured it was okay. I figured I'd use it now for that purpose - heard from Chris Price and some of the dot com guys that this was as good a place as any to reach Pats fans. But won't post these updates if its against the rules, sorry.

patchick - you are my favorite poster on this board but . . . I think keeping us up to date of when Bill, et al, are coming up is wholly appropriate. It's not like he's advertising weight loss or "male enhancement" products.

Yeah, I'm probably a little over-sensitive to this. FWIW it comes from running my own website and seeing the ever-increasing flood of companies approaching me and every other site owner, blogger, etc. to try to use our sites for free placements and promotion. Meanwhile nobody's willing to actually PAY for advertising anymore (just ask Ian). Plus a flood of PR hacks here promoting every upcoming media appearance would be a nuisance.

That said, if everybody else appreciates the WEEI updates I'll quash my little hangups.
