And how do you know it was his mental error that caused the sack?

I'm looking at all of these responses and thinking how stupid they sound. Bottom line, even if you don't know the "protection call", you still have to guard the damn DE from getting to the QB. Just because Kaczur was confused, doesn't mean he should Gathers run right by him and smack Brady. I used to defend Kaczur but he is starting to let too many DE's run right around him for an easy sack. In fact, if it weren't for Cassel's mobility, the game against the Jets wouldn't have gone into overtime. If you remember, Cassel avoided a sack from Kaczur's side. He should enjoy his time starting because it won't be for very long. When's he cut, he would fit right in with Pittsburgh's O-line.

Sigh.

Kaczur is not getting cut.

When you form your "Rich Kotite to replace Bill Belichick" fan club, I don't think you will get very many fans to join... OTOH, you might be more successful with "Captain to replace Belichick" fan club... eh ? Nope!

Isnt their a bunch of offensive lineman in the last years of their contracts. Maybe if you trade one of them it will light a fire under their ass to start doing their jobs.

That one play was Nick's fault or a mistake by Tom?

I have respect for Nick.... to be able to come straight out of college and play the best defensive players on the planet every week.

People get hit -its football

Yeah but we're used to Yates doing that by now. Can't always blame the scheme.

Ok. So manning didn't have training camp, and didn't play in any preseason games last year. 6-8 weeks means Brady is ready for opening day.

Because of the look on his face after the play. He didn't have the look of "well I tried hard and failed" it was more like "wtf was I supposed to do there???"
