Bostonian the drugs bothers me to, but if we are giving an animal torturing sociopath a second chance maybe this guy who has only hurt himself deserves a second chance as well. I'm not a believer that Mike Vick is this super weapon, I remember him as an overhyped underpar qb. People say hes the perfect wildcat qb but think about this, In the wildcat the ball is snapped to the rb right? So the ball would basically be snapped to Vick, a bad qb/ rb....big deal...So now its just chase him down like normal, he makes bad decisions, he runs with the ball like its his lead blocker and at thirty I dont see him having elite rb speed. Matt Jones is a physical monster, he can go up and get balls, hes huge hes fast hes been very productive with some very average qbs. He could be had cheap on a prove it deal. He would make this lineup super unstoppable. Anyways Bostonian thanks for just disagreeing with me and not personally attack me like some.

wholly crap you put your antics aside and actually made a football point.

I must admit to thinking Vick would be a good wildcat not that I wanted him badly.

But what made the wildcat work well last year was not the throwing but the dual threats at RB. Ronnie getting a direct snap and heading one way with Ricky going the other and Ronnie either keeping it or using Ricky to change the direction of the play And Vick not in the pocket scrambling but instead acting like a RB has to be easier to handle than Ronnie or Ricky. Sure he would be a better threat to throw but that was an added gimmick. I think the wild cat was more about running.

now all that said and that doesn't mean he couldn't be good just that the poster actually seemed to make sense

The Patriots already have a former collegiate player who was a quarterback turn wide receiver in Julian Edelman.

I disagree completely that Matt Jones would be a good add to this team. He's an outside receiver strictly, does not have the route running skills to play slot in my opinion and is mostly a deep threat with his size. While I think he's an NFL player, Moss, Welker, Galloway and Edelman are all ahead of him in my mind and he has no history of special teams.

All that said, I think that the sanctimony over the original poster's choice of words is over the top. Leave him alone, let him write what he feels, and respond if you feel fit. But banning him for choosing to use a different style of posting is something that I feel is contrary to the spirit of discussion.

If everyone wrote the same things in the same style there would be no need for all of us. You may not find it clever, you may not find it accurate, you may not find it relevant....then you just don't find it. No need to act like he just sucker-punched your grandmother.

What's even more funny to me is people who either 1.) don't have a sense of humor or 2.) aren't smart enough to undertand certain humor.

And THIS is one friggen hilarious thread!

Now with all due respect to KKK members who might be offended at image of APatrioticVirginian killing Hitler, I'm not inclined to be troubled or offended by that.

Eh. Based on the quotes I've read it looks like he's just stealing material from any Judd Apatow movie and using his own references. Actually, go ahead and watch Pineapple Express. You'll see that he's basing much of his gimmick off of Red (Danny McBride), who was by far the funniest character in that movie.
