Default As Training Camp ends the offseason, lets give thanks to Ian and this site

I just want to thank Ian and all his efforts to keep this site continuously going after what has been a very LONG offseason and the longest offseason since January of 2003,which was the last time the Patriots did not play a few weeks into the new year which equals about 28 weeks of pure speculation of what is going to happen the next season.

Remember, back then in 2003,there was no Patsfans.com and I am sure you, like I had gone nuts wondering how to survive until the following September kickoff, having to resort to watching Cold Pizza and ESPN sportscenter for information .

Its been great to talk football after all the team went through in 2008 by losing our franchise player and missing the playoffs by a tiebreaker.

Without Patsfans I am sure I speak for everyone here that we would go absolutely stir crazy without talking about football and especially the Patriots during spring and summer when virtually little news happens, this site keeps us in a "there is no NFL offseason mode" and for that its great to be a part of.

For those who have yet to donate to this site or have yet to renew their membership they paid for last year, please do so - You know you don't want to visit those other crappy Patriots forums,so help out a great cause...and a great site.

NOW LETS GET ONTO TRAINING CAMP,PRESEASON AND THE WONDERFUL FREAKING REGULAR SEASON!!! - GO PATS!!!

We were here - PatsFans.com was launched back at the start of the '01 season - excellent timing Two years before that we were with Rivals.com before they went under, and were later bought out by another company who relaunched them. At the time I launched a new board, but when I upgraded the board software in '04, I couldn't import the older posts because that software stunk and couldn't be easily exported. Before that was "Ian's Patriots Homepage" which is where it all started back 1997 - with Lloyd Christmas being our longest member of the site as he was around back in those days. We've come a long way since then

But I appreciate the kind words - and I'm definitely glad football is back

Oh,Sorry,I though this site was developed during the 2003 campaign but thanks for correcting me.

As far as the kind words go,its deserving and there is not a member here who would argue with that ...except maybe the anti-Patriot trolls

No worries. I'm just glad you and everyone else are all here now - and that's all that matters
