That's the general consensus.

"Rice should be higher on the list. How can you argue on one end, that Jerry Rice is the greatest Receiver to ever play the game and Not Say he has the greatest hands in the history of the game? Seriously, that's flawed".

Rice had a rep for dropping passes, specally when he was younger.

This is an impossible list to make, and it really dosent matter. I remember watching a skills camps for best hands and Chad Jackson blew one Greg Jennings out of the water. One will be a future all pro the other will be out of football.

This is the list :

10) Marvin Harrison
9) Lynn Swann
8) Sterling Sharpe
7) Jerry Rice
6) Kellen Winslow Sr
5) Fred Biletnikoff
4) Larry Fitzgerald
3) Steve Largent
2) Raymond Berry
1) Cris Carter
Not a bad list but I would have put Wes Chandler or Charlie Joiner over Winslow personally.

If any of that makes sense. BTW Moss >>> Rice. I'm just saying.
I agree, Carter has the best hands that I have ever seen. Herman Moore was great too...

What he said ...

Notable? Can you name any after his rookie season? He had a ton in his rookie year but he improved from year 1 to year 2 about as much as I can recall any player ever doing. By the stretch run of 2003 and on through the rest of his time here, his hands not only became adequate but, I'd even argue, outstanding.

In 2005 Givens had multiple drops in both Denver games, including one that would have been for a 1st down in the 2nd half of the playoff game.

To be fair, so did Branch, though his specialty was dropping touchdowns. If I recall correctly the wide receivers had a lot of drops that year.

Jim Brown says, "I don't think so."

I got to agree with Primetime on this one Rice did it twice as long as Jim Brown and putting up all pro numbers for 2 decades gets u put number 1 for me. Also holding or having held every record from college to regular season to playoffs to pro bowl will also do it. The guy has more yards than anyone in the history of the game period including combined yards just at receiver.
