LMAO at this crap

Didnt you people say exactly the same about Matt Cassell as our back up QB this time lasy year?

Give the guy a chance, he might surprise you. Note also, how good was Vrabel last year? Is Woods going to be any worse, with Crable probably also getting reps?

BB had the chance to draft an OLB, more than once. He didnt. Which means he's confident in what he has

Some of you still need to get over Connor Barwin

Joe, show some respect. "Box" and "Mayo" just got out of the Connor Barwin rehab. I think we should give them a few weeks before we mention CBs name again

I'll reserve my judgement on Woods until I see him play a couple of games. He started a couple of games last year and although he didn't shine, I don't recall him being a liability.

When Woods was playing for the Yellowbellies he was largely a non-entity, which maybe explains why he went undrafted.

When skinny Tom played for the Yellowbellies and G-d's team, Michigan State, had a huge, commanding lead when the Yellowbellies had some hack QB Drew Hanson mediocely playing...well, Tommie comes in late in the game and nearly pulls it out notwithstanding the 3 TD deficit.

I knew all about Tom Brady before you...had....a.......freakin'.............clue.

Why do you like Crable more than Woods?
See my post above. Pierre Woods hasn't made waves on the football field...and I've been watching him since college.

He had the body and can be quick and active. But he lacks strength, toughness (the fumble shows that--it's all about will, baby.), speed.

Need I go on? He'll struggle just being mediocre. Belichick has paradoxically failed us in his strongest suit--linebackers.

UPDATE: Oops, PJ, I forgot your valid question. Crable has superb speed (he ran down Michigan State's Javon Ringer [4.4 in the forty] on a 72-yard run in a video I once posted here, saving a certain TD) and is MUCH more of a playmaker. He might not be ready to go this season. I don't know. But he was a much bigger deal in college. The difference between the undrafted free agent (Peter Woods) and the third round (Crable), I am sure.

Because you started this same BS argument in the other thread and were schooled there. And not just by me. Yes, everyone has their opinions. But there are such things as BIASED or unsupported opinions. State admitted that his opinion was biased. It was proven that your opinion was unsupported by facts.

He's going into his fourth season and didn't do much to convince the coaching staff in finding a role for him. In fact, the only reason he saw the field last season was because of injuries. However, he will probably get his chance to be the starter and either prove people like me wrong, or make people like me look right. If he's the starter, so be it. I just hope that somebody will be able to guard the damn TE and the underneath routes that has been haunting the Pats for the past couple of years. Finally, I hope he's the next best thing at LB, but I'm not holding my breath.
Its amazing how people like yourself scream bloody murder when people say your opinion sucks, yet are the first people to attack others opinions. See, what you forget is that I am allowed to voice MY opinion as well. And usually, when I do, I have some factual basis to support me.

Your claim that Woods hasn't done enough to get the coaching staff to find a role for him is BS. First off, the guy earned his way onto the team from being a UDFA. He's been a top special teamer since joining the team. And last year, he was the primary back-up at OLB. That, in and of itself, proves you wrong.

I realize that neither YOU nor State actually understand how the Patriots coaching staff limited both Woods and Mayo in their duties last season but there are plenty of people who recognized it. And plenty of people who recognized that Mayo, for as well as he played, still has a ton of growing to do for the position. Just like Woods does.

Sorry I'll tale the opinions of the Coaching staff before I listen to y'all...
Well apparently the position of the coaching has been, that he's not good enough to start.

I guess what I really don't get (aside from your apparent bias) is why you like Crable. What's he done to make you like him and make you think that we should like him too?

I don't like him or dislike him. I'll try to figure that out later when I see him play a down.

c'mon PJ. Didnt you see that interception in last years first preseason game??? Crable shouldve been the starter from then on.

Actually, i think Woods, and Crable will both do well this year. Im just not going to judge them off their past.
