Default Tom Curran was all wrong about Brady's recovery

I have never been a fan of Tom Curran.
I remember him picking against the Pats the majority of our 16-0 regular
season.

He is always.... the glass is half empty when he talks about the Pats.

He should be taking heat after the recent news on Brady's recovery.

I do not forget all the attention he got when he talked about the complications Brady suffered and in one interview he said he would not be
suprised if he missed the entire 2009 season.

You were all wrong about Brady Tom Curran, and your sources suck.

Curran was right at the time that Brady had a major setback and infection to his knee.
We now know it was Brady's fault for trying too much, too soon.

At the time Curran's article was also potentially helpful to the Pats in increasing Cassel's value to the Pats, and thus his potential trade value.

When Curran reported this, the infection was already widely known about; he did not break this, IIRC. He was just the one who said that a re-do on the surgery was likely.

while i do think curran needs his ass kicked for being so adamant about brady's injury, he is a good guy.

But he WAY overstated it. Unless Brady is lying it was contained very quickly and was never a risk for a need to re-do the ACL as Curran said. His basis in fact was correct but his "story" was fantasy land.

You must be his brother or his ballwasher.
The setback was known.
It was Curran's story that it meant something far more ominous. A story not based on fact. Bad sources. Bad job.

Curran was also 100% wrong when it came to the F-tag with Cassel. He was on Comcast Sports and was saying that the Pats would not dear to put the tag on Cassel becasue they have to fly straight and level becase of spy gate.

And later when it became clear they would he kept insisting it would only be as a hedge against Brady not being ready and would be done to retain him. At $14.6M...

It never ceases to amaze me that sports reporters, even the dogged ones, tend not to be very adept common sense analysts.

I always wondered which genius tapped him for MSNBC. Even while still at the pro jo he was falling behind his peers in the blogging age due in part to the need to get to his kids games. It's a young mans game today and you have to be all in or you get lapped. I guess King had something to do with his getting the job. Probably on his own as far as keeping it, though. Tom E. hasn't had an exclusive since the Brady contract delay in 2005, and that story was spoon fed to him by the Brady camp to send a subtle public message based on he would run it and then let it go.

Curran was good when he was just a local reporter ...
then he went national and felt a need to create stories ... .

Yup Brady and his fans showed all the doubters. The recovery is now complete, and we'll all be smiling like proud papas when Brady starts in this weekend's Pro Bowl after another memorable and successful season.

Wait, the Pro Bowl is when?
