Kirwan says Pats may have interest in Roderick Green of the 49ers
Listening to Kirwan on the Sirius NFL channel just now and there was a Patriots fan who asked him what he thought of who the Pats would sign at a very slim OLB depth.
Burress was not mentioned because at this point its probably more smoke than fire but Kirwan expects the Pats to at least talk to McGinest and says the Pats may have an interest in Roderick Green of the 49ers who he says is available but I thought he was under contract with the Niners,Isn't he?.
Also,wasn't Green arrested for Marijuana and some other charges earlier this year?
Don't know much about Roderick other than him being in trouble and have never seen him play...Anyone?

Yeah,He said McGinest is one he expected the Pats to take interest in seeing that there are few veteran OLBs available left at a realistic cap number for the team.
Of course there can always be a trade for a solid veteran OLB to hope for.

This is the year. We put our failures in the past, it's a new year, a new defense. It's time to prove to the league that the Patriots are back and aren't going anywhere and they will be the last ones standing in Feb.
