Default Peter King Ranks the NFL Teams...Pats #1

Not sure if this is good or bad, but Peter King lists us as #1 in his current rankings.. Mangini's team is #32..

New England was seventh in the league in scoring with Brady playing one quarter in 2008; it'll be in the top three, easily, with him back. With new young talent in the defensive backfield -- Belichick can mix and match all the toys he's gathered over the past two offseasons, maybe playing Shawn Springs sparingly some weeks to keep him healthy for January -- New England should have enough ammo to be competitive with the best quarterbacks on the schedule. It was 5-1 down the stretch, including 4-0 on the road, as many of its young defenders grew up. I don't see much downside.

My prediction is that many if not most preseason pubs will have the Pats #1. With Brady returning and the additions the Pats made during the offseason, people will expect this team to be closer to the 2007 team than the 2008 team.

Completely irrelevant. Opinions are like Arsholes... everybody's got one.

happy to see so many people have high hopes for the pats this season... but really. off-season rankings are worthless.

Only until the next time his column isn't stroking the Patriots.

Not really relevant to the thread but this was at the end of the article and i was wondering if anybody had any idea what he was going on about:

j. Every time I read a British sports section, I feel like there's an inside joke and I'm not in on it.

Now, now, no fair lashing out at the other kids just because you never got the point last week.
