Default Wilfork talks about contract, and Haynesworth...

http://bostonherald.com/sports/footb...ts#articleFull

“Albert Haynesworth has nothing to do with my contract whatsoever. Whatever I like is what I’m going to get, if it’s Albert Haynesworth (money) or not. We’re totally different people. The last thing I want is to leave where I’m at.”

Not sure if this was posted, my bad if it was.

That's encouraging but it's early days. When contract talks come up, things can change very quickly

He gives the impression that he is happy here and he isn't seeking Haynesworth money. That's good for him and good for the team.

But he isn't stupid, they drafted two guys who could replace him. He sees the writing on the wall, if he wants to stay around and get big money from the Patriots he has to be tight lipped about his contract.

For some reason this reminds me of when Warren went through his contract talks.

The didn't draft two guys who could replace him. They didn't even draft one guy who could replace him. They drafted a guy who could rotate with him and back him up.

I feel for these players. Nothing they say is exactly right enough...

I hear you man, Wilfork sounds like a man who knows something will get worked out. This guy deserves the big contract hes going to get from the Pats.

I think this was exactly right enough. My BFF VW said the right thing, and he'll do the right thing.

VWs don't grow on trees, and we don't have close to a suitable replacement for him at this time.

This year he is the backup, but next year he could be the replacement if/when Wilford moves on.

Mike Reiss and others are calling him "insurance" and a "fallback plan" so to me that is clear that they view him as a replacement for Wilfork.

Let's hope he can make the team. I think he's insurance in case Wilfork gets hurt.
