Default What do we do with our 4 third rounders?

We don't have that many more opening for rookies? Hope we can trade some back for picks next year. Anyone out there you like?
I liked going defense but surprised no LB.

Theres alot of depth at LB in this draft so im not surprised we didnt grab one on day 1. Im happy with Chung and Butler. Solid picks to help solidify our secondary. Brace is a great pick up. He can go in on third downs to give Wilfork the rest for the run plays. Volmer is questionable but i trust BB and who he chooses.

Tomorrow, I can see us picking up Jaron Gilbert DE and an OLB and trade two of them for next years 2nd round picks.

One of the picks can't be traded. I believe it is our compensation for the loss of Asante Samuel. We have three compensation picks, 3rd, 5th, and 6th. Sadly, none of them can be traded.

Get a guard and a LB and move something into next year hopefully a two from a team that could be picking in the top half of the second next year.
haven't really regrouped yet today to throw out a name but I think Johnson is still out there for a DE LB.

I really like today by the way......Would have loved an OLB but I love Chung and Butler and Brace is great injury and FA insurance and with Scar a 2nd RD linemen could be gold.

Why do people think that there are not many spots left for rookies. In the breakdown that I did, I listed out 14 roster spots that were up for grabs. Now, I know that not all of them will go to rookies.

For instance, Wesley Britt and Ryan O'Callaghan are going to be in a fierce battle for the #3 and #4 Tackle spots with LaVoir and Vollmer. LaVoir and Vollmer will have the inside track, honestly. I wouldn't be surprised to see O'Callaghan traded for a conditional 6th rounder late in TC unless there is an injury at OT.

With the addition of Chung and Butler, you can figure that Richardson, Spann, and Ventrone are on thin ice.

I really think that the Pats will TRY and trade 2 of the picks from the 3rd round to next year. But if they can't, which could happen, those 8 guys are making this team.

BB has never cut a draft pick that was taken higher than the 5th round during their 1st camp.

EDIT: I would not be surprised to see the Pats keep all 3 picks tradeable 3rd round picks because of the status of the CBA at the end of the 2009 season.

We need an OG, ILB, and maybe a FB. The rest can be traded to next year.

Can't trade out if no one wants to trade with you. People could be looking at the Pats and saying, "Scr*w them. Let them cut some good players"
