First of all - look at the draft trade chart (which, although is off kilter at the top of the draft is still accurate outside of the top ten)

Add up the value of 41, 73 and 83 and you'll get 890 points...

Even factoring in whatever 5th rounder the Pats gave up you're still talking a trade in which the Patriots received the equivilent of #20 in the draft for #26.

I wouldn't call that an awful trade.

It's clear that BB just didn't feel there was enough value at any of those spots in the first round. Obviously you did - and that's fine - but no offense, I'll trust BB's judgement over yours.
