I don't think that is the case.. And the article states Detriot was not interested which we now hear was not the case.. Unless another shoe drops, BB was fleeced and the pats lost a lot of value on the trade..

If Detroit was not interested and it was only Tampa and Denver how did BB and the Pats get fleeced? Maybe they got fleeced in people's perceived market for Cassel but not in reality. KC was the only serious suitor, in BB's mind it was Cassel for #34, Vrabel was going to be released anyway.

PRoblem is Detriot was interested.. And when you have more than 1 party involved in a trade, you start playing them off one another.. Do you see whats going on with Cutler?? Denver wanted Cassel.. Its a fact.. Cutler is going crazy.. So we know there were two parties involved at the bare minimum..

And people need to stop with the Vrabel was going to get released.. There has not been ONE report of this.. PLus we saved 3 million.. Woopie.. in the grand scheme, 3 million is not a lot..

If the other parties come to the dance after it's over then wonder why there is no music playing and why everyone went home what happens then? Also if $3m is "not a lot" then why did the Pats restructure Moss's deal to save $1m, hhhhmmmm.

Right.. the other parties weren't ready.. Why do you think they weren't ready?? Its BB job to call around after a soft deal is in place with KC and see if he can obtain more in a trade with other teams..

3million is not a lot when you just dumped 14.5 million.. Why the throw in? that's my point.. If you needed money to sign Taylor, WHY NOT JUST DUMP VRABEL and get that 3 mill or so back.. That is why I don't think they were dumping Vrabel..
