Broncos, Vikings and Bucs would have been better.. Denver has NO defense and it will take a while.. Plus who knows about McDaniels.. Vikings.. There coach blows, enough said..
Bucs.. Did you watch the new coach during the press conference when they released half their vets.. He basically stuttered and crapped his pants.. That team took a step back..

It's not about sending him to the Chiefs, it's about sending 2 starters (yes, Cassel was a starter last season and will be a starter this year) to the Chiefs for only a second round pick. Cassel alone was worth more than that.

Re: Belichick will make the media look foolish as usual
what was Cassel worth to you at the end of last August?
Vrabel was a cap casualty...you can call it what you want...he was going for nothing anyway.
Cassel was throwing to a Hall of Fame WR and one of the top slot receivers in the game...the Pats added a high 2nd, 2 slots out of the first round, gained additonal OVERWHELMING flexibility, can easily dictate their draft at will, moving up or down...and this is not good enough. The Pats cut Milloy...I heard the same tired bullcrap from the same type of spoiled little baby fans. You don't like the way Kraft and BB run this team, LEAVE for some other squad...like the Rats...they throw plenty of money around and make plenty of huge splashes...don't let the door hit ya yada yada yada....
The Denver Broncos may have seriously damaged their relationship with quarterback Jay Cutler.
A source close to the situation confirmed the Broncos were trying to acquire quarterback Matt Cassel from the New England Patriots by dangling Cutler, their Pro Bowl quarterback.
The trade talk infuriated Cutler, who now wants to leave the Broncos.
The source said the proposed trade was a three-way deal that would have sent Cassel to Denver to reunite with former Patriots offensive coordinator and new Denver head coach Josh McDaniels, Cutler to Tampa Bay and compensation from Tampa Bay to New England.
Furthermore, and I can't get online verification for this, but multiple sources on the Chiefs board claim that Michael Smith (Sportscenter) is reporting that the Patriots were offered a first round pick:

what the heck is the difference what his value was in august? its February. i dont know what the market was for cassel, but i cant imagine it being as low as we got. the only explanation i can think of is that he wanted cassel to go to a place where he could exceed and was throwing pioli a bone. im sure they will work together on deals in the future.

Re: Belichick will make the media look foolish as usual
if all the fans somehow realize that this is a bad deal, then it means that
a) BB is so stupid when making the deal that he didnt realize he was getting jobbed
b)there was there some other reason we cant guess as yet. f
for now i think its the latter...

makes no sense. why would denver dangle cutler to the pats for cassel for a straight swap ?if that deal happened , they should get more for cutler IMO.
i think the bucs wanted to deal with the pats for a 1st if the bucs parted with cutler for cassel straight up which didnt happen.
michael smith now works for ESPN so dont trust that news outlet anymore.

The way I got it was that it was a 3 way deal with Cutler going to Tampa, Cassel going to Denver and the Tampa #1 going to New England.
