Don't be. When is the last time you saw a bad long snap in an NFL game that wasn't made by James Harrison? I agree, a competent one is important, but I'm confident the Pats will find one. Heck, they dug up some guy who was HS teaching one of the SB seasons.

Surprised Gaffney left. Though no way the Pats were giving him 4-years. Guess this adds WR to the list of needs.

Would love to see Michael Clayton come on board ...

I'm not surprised. He's familiar with the offense that McDaniels runs, and I've read rumblings (patriotsinsiders) that the Pats were not going to bring him back.

That doesn't seem terribly excessive for Gaffney. I thought that 4 years at $8M would be fair; the extra $500K/year doesn't seem that much. I hope we have some other options in mind.

Thanks to Gaffney for some good years. We good more from him than anyone expected when he came here.

He obviously wanted to be reunited with Chad Jackson.
