BRUSCHI MUST STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's my all-time favorite patriot player and a guy with heart and soul. Only his presence in the locker room and his mentorship to rookie linebackers is worth 2 million.
I really must see him in London
I guess he's losing speed and we got some great rookie LBs last year, but i think he can still play at a pretty high level. He did have about 80 tackles last year, right? Even missing some games...
Tedy must stay with the patriots forever, after he retires he becomes the linebacker coach, mark my words!!!

Already the Patriots have AD, Vrabel, Pierre and Crabel, Redd and Robertson, Craig and Ruud. And Mayo and Guyton and TBC, even perhaps Colvin and Larry and Alexander. That is 14 LB candidates not counting Tedy.
Not too many major party candidates in that bunch.
Nobody there that beats Tedy out, though I'm hopeful a new list will include at least half that were drafted or have started.
Bruschi is a great leader. his skills, however, have clearly diminished. i have no problem having him on the team, but i think he needs to take a pay cut. $2M for a guy who doesnt play all that much is too much, especially in a year like the upcoming one where we are strapped for cap room
Bru has always signed below mkt contracts. No way should he take a cut. He'll be a valuable mentor and member of the ILB platoon this season as we win the SB and he retires post game.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH
Bruschi's tackles are like dwight freeney's hurries: he gets one if the play happens anywhere near him.
The 38 solo were legit, most of the 37 assists were plays he wasn't really involved in.
Tackles as a stat are kept by the stadium's scorekeepers, so they're not really legit. IIRC, last year the colts had something ridiculous like 2.8 tackles per play.
Does anybody else see Bruschi taking a more limited role at ILB with either adalius, vrabel, and guyton filling in at times, and the pats taking an OLB like clay matthews, brian cushing, or larry english to fill in at olb when that happens?
edit: or maybe with the depth that pats have at olb (thomas, vrabel, woods, crable, guyton, banta cain, redd) that they could end up taking laurinaitis who would essentially share time with bruschi?
