Default Re: 10 burning questions about this season and next season

1. Would a Tom Brady led team made the playoffs?
yes

2. What was the play or the decision that had the most impact on not making the playoffs?
Some bad clock management this season and obviously the Jets 3rd down

3. Who was the biggest surprise in 2008?
Cassell

4. Who was the biggest disappointment in 2008?
Its a tie between our pass rush or I guess Maroney

5. Should the Pats franchise Matt Cassel? If yes, should they keep Cassel or trade Cassel?
Yes, I think he would like to find a way to stay here

6. Will Tedy Bruschi or Rodney Harrison return in 2009?
Do we really think they want to end their careers with injuries or not making playoffs?

7. What position is in need of the biggest upgrade of in 2009?
People say secondary, its not bad when we actually get to the QB, and when we do, actually sacking the QB would be a big help so I would say we need a real pass rush threat

8. Will the Pats make a big splash in FA?
No, they will pick up some no names and plug them in some holes.

9. Which player will not be on the 2009 roster that will be a big surprise?
I can see Maroney being cut

10. Will Josh McDaniels be the OC next year?
I think McDaniels might be in the same position as Garrett in Dallas, I think he is being groomed to take over for BB. Certain things like BB not watching the offense in certain parts of the game yet always talking with Pees about the D makes me think McD has his complete trust and they wont let him walk.

1. Would a Tom Brady led team made the playoffs?
* I believe so, as I don't think the learning curve that Cassel was put on made games easier to win for the Pats.

2. What was the play or the decision that had the most impact on not making the playoffs?
*It's easiest to point out the myriad of mistakes in the Colts game, mainly because the team itself seemed to be playing fine except for inexplicable individual mistakes and a couple collective coaching ones. The 3rd & 15 against the NYJ was crushing though.

3. Who was the biggest surprise in 2008?
*Atlanta Falcons

4. Who was the biggest disappointment in 2008?
*Jaguars, followed by Browns

5. Should the Pats franchise Matt Cassel? If yes, should they keep Cassel or trade Cassel?
*Franchise, then wait & see.

6. Will Tedy Bruschi or Rodney Harrison return in 2009?
*I doubt it on both accounts.

7. What position is in need of the biggest upgrade of in 2009?
Secondary is the most glaring need. The o-line seemed to improve, and the *lb corps had some nice surprises in it.

8. Will the Pats make a big splash in FA?
* idk who's available, but I doubt a 'BIG' splash is coming.

9. Which player will not be on the 2009 roster that will be a big surprise?
*Just the ones who retire.

10. Will Josh McDaniels be the OC next year?
*Probably not considering the coaching carousels out there, but it's not like ex-Pats coaches from the glory years are doing much.
