Default Parcells can't win without Belichick who can't win without Brady

Has this season finally put a fork in all that?

Sure Parcells isn't the coach of Miami, but he sure kept the good, picked up what he could and turned around a loser in one year.

I'm sure Sparano is great, but no one else took a shot with him.

Parcells haters, give it your best shot. Maybe he's just lucky.

Belichick without Brady? Maybe other teams should start picking QBs from the 6th and 7th rounds. Another lucky guy.

At least one of those will hold true for another season, maybe both. At most one of them will get a Lombardi this year.

Counterpoint: Parcells can't win without Belichick and being President of a team that has done a big turnaround doesn't change that because his day-to-day football duties are simply not even close to when he was coaching.

Sparano deserves more credit than he is getting.

I live in Florida and I hear all of the news reports. Parcells is possibly the most hands-on Vice President that this league has ever seen. He's almost always involved in personnel decisions and gets constant reports and updates from Sparano. I do agree with you about Sparano and that Parcells did have more duties when he was a coach but make no mistake about it, PARCELLS built that team and the office... not Sparano. Sparano is simply a good coach with good management around him.

Clearly the answer we're looking for here is that he's winning with Randy Mueller's players.

The "Parcells without Belichick" argument was never about turning a team around, claiming the Dolphins season proves anything new is false. Parcells turned the Jets and Cowboys around without Belichick, arguably even the Pats (Belichick was only here the final year). The argument is about winning the SB, and he has only done that with Belichick. Think Marty Schottenheimer, but with a playoff win or two additional.

None mentioned is without one of those trophies.

Way to miss the point. There's a lot of luck and circumstance to winning it all. We were certainly the most talented and well coached team recently without winning it and hardly the most talented when we first did.

Why dance around the issue? Give all these their due as all time greats.

That ain't my argument, Buster.

Why haven't Belichick and Brady won recently, when they certainly had the most talent? Are they lacking? Are they losers?

It just cracks me up how the goal line of this argument keeps changing.

Bill Parcells was the Head coach for two Super Bowl wins. Is the argument that He had the best talent and anyone would have won?
Or is it that Belichick was really the head coach, not Parcells.

Doesn't the fact that Belichick and Brady had the best talent last year negate both those arguments?

But wait!!!!!

Belichick can't win without Crennel! Same logic.

Hold on, he can't win without Weis!!!

There's actually not 1 person here that can possibly win without one of the others!

Bunch of losers!

its amazing how the pats pick two 6th and 7th round draft picks and they are borh amazing and you look at some teams who get 1st round QBs do terrible (the QBs the teams are already most likely bad)

A real NFL QB had made the difference in Miami. They would have had many more W's even against the Pats if they had a real QB the last several years. And yes folks Noodle Arm is a real QB.

Want to give Parcells credit for that? Maybe Mangina since he let him go.
