Default Will the Jets be following the Jags game?

I was wondernig how much scoreboard watching actually goes on during the game by the players. In other words will the Jets be watching the scoreboard to see updates on the Jags game during their game?

I have an argument with my Father on this.

He is scared that if we win and the Jags are losing in the 4th quarter that the Jets will see this and it will kill their energy.

I think there is way to much going on in a game for especially the starters and key reserves to be doing this. I am sure they will find out about our game before they get started and if the Jags were being destroyed they may find out but I don't think in the 4th quarter they will be watching and then would find out about a tough 4th quarter defeat and lose all energy as their season would be over.

What do you guys think? Do the Jets players follow what goes on in the Jags game during the game?

My guess is that scores of the Jags/Ravens game will not be posted in the Meadowlands Sunday.

That is pretty much standard operating procedure for NFL coaches in this type of situation.

There's no way in hell the score of the Jaguars/Ravens game will effect the way the Jets play. No way.

There is going to be a Miami fan sitting behind the Jets bench, and you can bet he'll be letting the Jets players know the score of the Ravens game. They will know the score, and it will affect them.

The Rats only shot is for the Pats to lose. No way in hell the Jags beat Baltimore.

No way in hell the Giants are going to hold Tom Brady to 2 TDs.

How does anybody who had ever followed football for more than a week make these kind of absolute statements.

You know, I have a funny feeling the Jags are going to win, too. Makes no logical sense, but I saw that Colts game and I'm telling you, I think it's possible.

Teams playing for spoiler play as hard as teams playing for a spot, imo.

That is an interesting point if true.

Of course Any Given Sunday always applies and and I do think the Jags have a legitmate shot. They are a better team than their record indicates--player for player not much diffence from last years' squad who were dominant most of the season. And it seems like alot of people in Baltimore are already looking past them.

I keep thinking about the Ravens' monumental meltdown in the final seconds vs. the Pats last year. They seem well coached now but anything can happen, especially when you have a rookie QB.
