Default Bruschi Autobiography

Has anybody had a chance to read Bruschi's autobiography "Never Give Up"? I was going to get it for somebody for Christmas, and was wondering if anybody had any opinions on the story and writing of it?

I got it recently, but haven't started it.

I read it in one night - and I'm not a reader - if that means anything. Actually I mean that it was tough to put down, not that it was first grade reading.

I loved it, it had some football stuff but also lots of inside stuff about the stroke including some surprising honesty about an issue with Vrabel and what it was like talking to Belichick about retiring/returning, etc.

Definitely recommended by me.

Thumbs up Re: Bruschi Autobiography

I thought it was very good, however the last 25 or so pages weren't needed. It gives you a very straight forward perspective of who Tedy is, how he became that way, and a detailed account of everything that happend surrounding his stroke. The forward by Brady is a good lead in to the book. It would definately make a good present.

Great book, one of the best football books out there. Since Bruschi is one of my alltime favorite Pat's player, I might be somewhat biased.

I'd agree with that. Great book, though, as opposed to the Charlie Weis book which I found to be almost adolescent.

The Charlie Weiss was 3rd grade, this book was much better similar to Patriots Reign.. but the granddaddy of them all is Halberstam's book.. Education of a Coach, a truly great read and more challenging than the rest. Gives you trememdous insight into the man...

It's a very good read. It's actually more than a football book in that it really can serve as an inspiration to stroke victims or any one else fighting adversity, for that matter. My wife is a very casual fan, but read it cover to cover. I'm partial to Michael Holley and I would rank this book a close second to his Patriot Reign. As someone else stated, however, David Halberstam's Education of a Coach about BB is the gold standard of Patriot books, in my opinion.

I am also not a reader by any means, and I read the book in one night. Like others, Bruschi is my favorite player, but I really enjoyed reading the book.
