Default If we get in, I'd rather travel than host the Ravens...

In this year, I rather go into the Playoffs as the 6th seed.

Why?

Becuase the 6th Seed with get Miami or Jets in the first game, which is an opponent we know very well and could easily win away at their stadium. Then we would travel to Tenn.

Now I know Tenn is the "best" team in the AFC this year, but I think we match up with them VERY well.

The easiest route to the AFC championship game in my opinion TO Jets, TO Tenn, and then TO Indy/Pitt.

If we go in as a 3rd seed, we have to host a nasty looking Ravens team, then go to Pitt, then to Indy / Tenn depending on how it shakes out.. which is a MUCH tougher path to the Super Bowl.

Now of course this all means nothing if we look past the Bills, but there is a much different strength level between #6 and #3.

I know what you're saying, but my only worry is our D, it's really not playoff calibre. The offense could make up for it, but I dunno.

If we get the div, at least if we go no further we've won the division again and it will show up a little nicer in the history books.

I don't mind either matchup, the teams that scare me are the ones that can throw downfield and the Ravens don't win that way. I'd be scared of turnovers but I think we can beat the Ravens. Our secondary is what I want to hide.

I'd much rather have a home game.

Well we'd still be the 3 seed if the Jets win & Ravens lose. So ultimately I'm rooting more so for the Jags. Even though it doesn't look likely, eliminating the Ravens from the postseason would be huge.

you probably make a good point. the 6th seed gives us MIA in the first round, then Tennessee in the divisionals instead of Baltimore and Pitt. whatever, we will win our game at 1pm on sunday and root for the jets and ravens at 4. we will take what we can get, right

Excellent point. Don't get me wrong, I would love for us to go far in the playoffs, but just getting there is good enough for me. This team has shown unbelievable heart this season.

I'd rather have HFA if we have to play the Dolts or the Donks.

I thought about this last night, I do worry about the Ravens a bit, but I think we can take them, it just all comes down to which Pats team would show up, the Raiders/Cardinals version or the Chargers/Dolphins 1 version.
