Default Pats vs. Jests in Wild Card?

If I'm reading the tie breaking procedures correctly, we could play the Jests wild card weekend? If Mia loses, and the Ravens lose, then that creates a 3-way tie with NY, MIA and BAL at 10-6. In reading the 3-way tie for a wild card tie breaking procedures, it says to first apply the division tie breaker to two teams within the same division. So NY would be ranked above MIA since they will have the better division record (5-1 vs. 3-3). Then, we would go to the conference record as the two team tie breaker between the Jests and the Ravens, and the Jests would come out on top at 8-4 vs. the Ravens at 7-5. So NY would be in, the Ravens would be out. Am I missing something? The Pats could have the Jests at home, then go to Pitt, then maybe another home game for the conference title against Inday? Wow, is that a dream playoff sweep!! And a Super Bowl re-match???!!!

Ok, pinch me...

I agree 100% - How anyone thinks the poor defenseless Jags even have a shot against that Ravens defense that has bottled up most opponents all season long is beyond me

Unless Baltimore GIVES the game away via turnovers, there will be a cold day in hell that this happens - Any given sunday crap is even overthrown for this game.

Agreed. Anyone thinking the Ravens will lose to the Jags with their po's on the line is reaching. They are going to crush them on D.

Sadly our hopes lie with Favre playing well enough to beat Miami. Don't bet the house.

I thought that it was already decided that the Jets and Giants were going to be in the Super Bowl? I mean they already planned the the 2 championship games that are going to be at the Meadowlands.

It should go down like that, but I wouldn't bet my mortgage on it. On any given Sunday......

Meh, tough game to call. I would still put my money on the Crows. Garrard isn't looking strong and Flacco seems to have picked up some kind of form as of late, not to mention that Baltimore defense. Tough game for the Jags, but you never know.

I wish I had a dime, for every poster who wrote, "The Patriots will not lose the SB to the Giants. Book it." or some variant of that.

Anything can happen, but BALT losing to JAX with the playoffs on the line is especially unlikely.
