No, they won't. I really don't see Seattle winning this game barring a Favre collapse, and I think the Jets are going to grind out a win.
Then we'd need the Jags to beat the Ravens (or the extremely unlikely event of a Jets-Phins tie), and I don't think that happens.

Re: Bottom line. do the pats get in the playoffs?
Not this year unfortunatly. But they've make great strides to incorporate, what seems to me, the new face of the Patriots. As fans, we'll be okay. It was, regardless on what happens next week, a good year. Here's hoping Brady will come back as strong as ever, and the Patriots brain trust will do some innovative drafting/aquisitions in the off season.

I'm sure we're all hoping for that. But at this point, depending on other teams seems like a mute point.
I doubt Seattle can play with the same intensity they did against the Patriots. With that said, I certainly do hope we get into the playoffs, whether it by a Jets loss, or a Ravens loss against the Jags.
But to be honest, I just don't see it happening this year.

I guess you have to give it up to the Titans (not on our schedule), Ravens (not on our schedule), Steelers (They kicked our butt), Colts (Belichicks clock management, Thomas PF penelty), Jets (1st half mistakes, not going for 2 at the end of the game, losing the coin toss, and not making the play on 3rd and long in OT), Dolphins (hitting us with the Theoretical Novelty Single WIng - now popular), and the Chargers (BAD Week 5 matchup).
Sometimes, things just do not work out in your favor. Need to go back and retool the entire defense.
Maybe the league needs to set up flex scheduling to pair teams with good records (that have not played each other) to determine which teams make the playoffs. In week 17, We go to Baltimore to determine the 6th seed and Jacksonville goes up to Buffalo. That seems to be the only fair way to decide playoff berths.

Reason: add the flex scheduling concept
Any other year, I would have confidence one of those teams lose next week. But just too much has found its way to work against us this year and you just get that awful feeling that things just won't fall our way in the last 2 weeks

This is not valid...if we went for it and missed people would have just been saying "Why the hell did we go for 2 when we could have kicked the XP and played in Overtime!"
