He was wired for sound but during practice not the game. It was a really good segment, albeit a short one. He basically walked around joking with some of the players and then said little soundbites about how the weather would be and how important special teams would be. Then he gave Cassel the game ball in the locker room after the game.

Inside the NFL moved to Showtime this year.

I cannot imagine BB ever agreeing to be wired to a mic to record everything he has to say over the course of an entire game. Maybe for ten minutes of practice, but that would be it.

I love these segments, can be pretty funny sometimes.

There was quite a large gamut in the piece, from Belichick's dry humor on the practice field with some of the young guys on how they're spending their new money, to the emotional game ball toss to Matt Cassel at the end. Even Chris Collinsworth was blown away by it. Every Patriots fan should try to see it. If you don't like the show (Inside the NFL) it's about 20 - 25 minutes into the one hour program.

Edit, there is also some interesting banter about who might win coach of the year and MVP awards.
