Not sure this is "awesome!" and "great news!"

The Patriots didn't need Junior Seau until now.
They felt better with Bruschi, Mayo, and Guyton in the middle.
Now they might need Seau.

Seau has been out of football all season, and is 40.

He did play better than Bruschi last season.

But, if the Pats need him now, it probably means one of the injured linebackers - who the Pats preferred over Seau -- may not make it back.

Just goes to show we need to get younger at the position come draft time. I see us drafting another LB in second round this coming draft.

The next rumor will be that Andre Tippett has been spotted

working out in the weight room. Last I heard he was a forum

member.

It never really made sense to me that they didn't have him on the team from the beginning. At this point, you have to wonder if the Colvin and (possible) Seau signings were made too late.

It's not age, it's health.

Mayo, Guyton, Crable, Woods, we have plenty of young LB. Some aren't healthy, others will be better next year. We MAY draft a LB high next year but we don't need to. Add Vrabel and Thomas to that list, probably Brushci too and it's a healthy mix.

We have back up guys he could be replacing. Is Alexander on IR? Or is he still on the 53?

I'm surprised Seau is interested. Pats are not exactly in contention right now.

Alexander is on IR, but in reality he's simply a ST player. As an LB he's awful, Izzo awful. An yes I remember Izzo's pick against Buffalo 31 -0.
