Interesting point.

Case closed - Brady is not going anywhere
Didn't you also predict there was no way Cassel would make the team?

Just think about if for a second......HE'S TOM BRADY!
WTF are you talking about?

That's PRECISELY what I was getting at.

Duh.

In a small way, it's flattering. It means Cassel is playing so well that there is this type of discussion to begin with, and that's a good thing in itself. But that's about it. The idea of letting Brady go is absurd.

Default Cassel Like Brady is no Ordinary QB

The best moment in yesterdays game for me, besides the win, was the 4th and short and the Pats went for it with a QB sneak.

A quick snap and MC fights for six yds carrying defenders on his back, then gets up bumps helmets with a Dolphin defender and shoulders his way thru the linebackers back too the Pat's huddle.

TB and MC both have the personality and competitiveness of linebackers, they are not just tough they are in your face tough. I do love this aspect of their play which i think really sets them apart from other modern QB's and has more in common with a bygone era of great, tough as nails QB's, who led not just with their arms with with every aspect of their beings.

if this is our worst problem then give me break

I think it's alright to talk about it.

but our defense is equally pressing

First and foremost, welcome back Darryl.
I don't see the threads which debate Cassell vs Brady as a starter, maybe someone could link one. As far as the Cassell sucks links, there are many of them, none of which bear my name. Nor will you find my name on the Brady can't throw deep threads which populated this board a few years back, along with a few other negative ones concerning Brady.
My whole point of contention is, what would Brady produce in a trade.
On the whole, the responses are irrational or inflammatory. If you believe that Brady is untouchable, fine, but that doesn't mean BB shares your opinion.

Tough to disagree, he seems to have a little something extra. It can't have been easy to have to step in and replace TOM BRADY but he did it largely without a hitch. The big things to me are 1) what you are saying, that he doesn't back away from a challenge and 2) he throws very few scary passes. I can think of 2-3 passes that could have been picked off that weren't. All season, that's it. He's been accurate, thrown well on the run and made few mistakes.

I think "Cassel/Brady" is a good problem to have. It's exciting, c'mon. This is San Francisco all over again whether you like it or not. Not many teams in the NFL have this much excitement going on outside the hashmarks.

Is there a more exciting 7-4 team in NFL history than the 08 New England Patriots? Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, it's been a rollercoaster thrill watching Patriots football in 2008. Never a dull moment. You can bet Pittsburgh is scared to death that their wild card matchup could be against NE.
