No, I don't think they should trade Tom Brady.

Re: The Official 'Trade Brady' Debate Thread - Do Not Start Another One
The simple fact is that when we last saw Tom Brady he was at the top of his game and almost universally acclaimed as the best QB in the league. He was the best not because of his footwork (which were exceptional) not because of his arm (which was certainly better than average) but because of his poise and his decision-making.
Now unless the brain's decision-making center is in the left ACL, nothing that happened this year will change what made Brady great.
Tom Brady's value in a trade could not be lower at this point because every team interested in him will assume we are trading him because of concerns about Tom's leg. You don't trade when value is low.
Conversely Matt Cassel's value is high. It may never get higher.
I just don't see the logic in trading Brady and it's hard for me to take the opinions of those who do very seriously because they seem to exemplify the living in the now type of thinking that would have seen us never bother to keep Matt Cassel on the roster this year in the first place.

Your making assumptions on fans who feel Cassel will be a great QB for the Patriots. You assume that fans who like Cassel were the ones who wanted him booted in preseason. It wasn't too long ago where some fans wanted to bench Brady and fire BB. Did you want me to assume that those fans were the ones who want to keep Brady (tho, some of the reasons given "his feelings may get hurt" might apply).
Bottom line, when it comes to decisions in sports, I don't let sentiment dictate my choices, and that is why you could delete 60% of the anti-trade threads.
In addition, it isn't a slam dunk that Cassel can be traded. Are you saying Cassel's trade value is higher then Brady's?

It's a guarantee that Tom is staying. There would be anarchy in New England if he were to go. Seriously, if the NFL were heaven, Tom Brady would be God...strike that, he'd be the entire package...THE HOLY TRINITY!!
Number 12 will reign for ever and ever....hallayluah, hallayluah, hallayluah!!!

Fantasy Football guys aren't TEAM fans, they are roster guys. They're more interested in trades and draft picks than they are just rooting for their team. They really don't understand the team concept and the personality of the team.
I am so psyched their little scenario's won't even get a sniff or reality. So REAL Patriots fans can snicker at them later!
I haven't replied because #1) there hasn't been anyone "espousing" a trade for Brady......what the hysterics on the board haven't grasped is that it's simply part of the discussion of all things Pats (which is why any "snickering" would be unfounded.)
But for the record, I completely don't understand the appeal of fantasy football. I know a lot of guys do it, many huge football fans. But it's not for me, and never will be. Just don't get it.
