Default Time to collect happy thoughts. Post articles with good vibes for Sunday.

Ok, I've heard enough about Favre the hero, overtime, the surging Phins, the slow decimation of our roster and Karma to last me a lifetime.

Let's post some articles pointing to the good match-up's, favorable predictions, and positive Pats trends heading into this weekend.

I'll start: Matt Bowen thinks Porter is going to get his this weekend.
The National Football Post | NFL Over/Under: Playing the Odds

Quote:
2- Sacks for Joey Porter against the Patriots this Sunday (UNDER)

He’s back. That’s right, Joey Porter, the new “Mouth of the South” is spouting off about something new this week. Surprised? You shouldn’t be. By now, we all know what to expect from Porter, who is having a Pro Bowl season down in Miami—and he is running with it. I wonder what this guy is going to do without football years from now, but that is another story. The relevant story is the Dolphins match-up with the Pats in Miami. We don’t need to be reminded of what happened in Foxborough when the “Wildcat” offense became as trendy as NFL players driving Hummers. Porter made a couple of plays and so on. I don’t see it happening again folks. For starters, Matt Cassel is a better quarterback, and the Patriots are a better football team than way back then. If I were still playing (or if I was any good when I was playing), I wouldn’t talk noise with the Patriots coming to town. I think the Pats go after Porter early (bounties anyone?), take him out of the game, and physically whip the Dolphins on Sunday. Sorry Joey, it might be a long day for you.
I really doubt the Pats have any bounty hunters, but I get what he's saying. Neutralize Porter's attack and everything will look sunnier.

Any others yet?

Matt Cassel has 200+ yards passing each of the last four weeks, and is being sacked only about one-fourth as often as he was his first three games.

Well, I guess I'm the only one interested, lol. But here's what Matt Bowen has to say today about this match up.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this dude a former Jet?

The National Football Post | Weekend Preview: What to Watch

Quote:
New England (6-4) at Miami (6-4)

This is the biggest game of the day—because it carries the most ramifications with it. Divisional game, late November, both teams a game out of first, playoffs, wild cards, etc. Don’t kid yourself; this one is big in south Florida. Add in Joey Porter and you can expect a circus-like atmosphere. Here’s one thing to think about: forget the last time these two teams met. NFL clubs change dramatically from week to week, so you can throw out that old film, because Bill Belichick is prepared for the “Wildcat.” But, Miami is still a “gadget” team, so they will have a new wrinkle to throw at the Pats. The key, however, will be the Pats ability to protect QB Matt Cassel. We all saw what he was capable of last week against the Jets (400 yards passing-62 yards rushing). New England’s O-Line has to allow him time in the pocket to get the ball to Wes Welker and Randy Moss—who I think is going to have a monster game against the Dolphins secondary. Chad Pennington has been flying under the radar, because he doesn’t make many mistakes and he doesn’t put up monster numbers. Can that last against the Pats? I doubt it. Look, Tony Sparano and the Dolphins are the “feel good story” of the NFL this year. Great, but that is about to end on Sunday. Moss goes off, Cassel continues to raise his value, Pennington struggles, and the Pats roll. They will find a way to win the AFC East next month.
It's not much more than favourable conjecture, but I'm with him. Down with the Pathetic Poissons!
