Felger and Belichick on Moss - who do you believe?
What a contrast!
Felger says that Moss dogged it on 78 of 79 plays and was an embarrassment until the final play.
Belichick on WEEI says "to me, Moss was probably the most dominant player in the game for us ... because he took so much coverage with him and then, in the critical play of the game, made a play that - I don't know how many other receivers in the league could make that play."
Belichick praised Moss for working as hard as he did against the double coverage, noting that the Jets had to continue to double Randy, opening up opportunities for Gaffney, Aiken and others.
"Last night's game ... is why he's a captain of this football team. The player's respect him and he went out and did all he could ... to help out the team in other ways."
When Ordway noted that others had criticized Moss, Belichick responds (in his typical understated fashion) "I mean, we passed for 400 yards."
