Default Horrible horrible officiating on holding

Sorry to carry on a rant on this, but I am livid about the holding that the Denver offensive line is being allowed to do in this game.

I was going to make this post early on in the game after watching some of the outright grabbing that was going on allowing the running backs to get room through the line. And I was going to ask the astute folks who do such a good job of analyzing and breaking down all of the plays for their opinion.

But just now I took another look at the play where Merriweather makes his interception, and Vrabel (I'm pretty sure it's him) beats a lineman and the guy turns and totally grabs Vrable from behind and dogs him down.

For crying out loud, that's just plain illegal 'blocking'. Why is this not being flagged ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

Yeah-I too saw holding on Denver's OL when the announcers were showing plays in slow motion. Was surprised Jaws and Kornheiser didn't point them out.

Not I. It would have made Denver look bad. At the time they were pimping the Donks.

Well, poor Vince Wilfork. He got so upset with the holding by the Denver offensive line that he started harranging the Denver guys. So the refs call him for objecting instead of calling the holding. Double rotten.

I forgot where I heard this but apparently Offensive Holding is just not being called very much this year. It seems to be a league-wide thing.

I think it was horrible all around. Both teams got hosed, but the Pats are the only one's that could take their game to the next level
